This Privacy & Data Protection Policy explains how MEE Video Production ("MEE", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information in connection with our services, including videography, photography, and social media management (collectively, the “Services”).

By working with us, booking our Services, or engaging with our website or social media, you agree to this Policy.

1. Scope of Policy

This Policy applies to:

  • Our website and any online communications.

  • Our in-person projects (weddings, corporate events, real estate, promotional work, etc.).

  • Client content and data (including photos, videos, brand materials, and social media accounts managed on behalf of clients).

  • Any third-party platforms we use in the course of our work.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on the project or interaction, we may collect:

  • Personal Information – names, contact details, billing information.

  • Project Information – event details, shot lists, location details, schedules.

  • Media Content – videos, photos, audio recordings, and related files created during projects.

  • Social Media Access – account credentials or permissions (if provided for management purposes).

  • Technical Data – IP addresses, device information, and analytics from our website.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal and project-related information strictly to:

  • Deliver contracted Services.

  • Process payments and maintain business records.

  • Communicate with clients regarding projects.

  • Manage, edit, and deliver photo and video content.

  • Provide social media management services (posting, scheduling, ad management).

  • Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax records, contracts).

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Media files and client data are stored securely on encrypted drives and/or reputable cloud services.

  • Raw footage and working files may be retained for up to 12 months, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Final project files are delivered to clients and may be archived by MEE for portfolio purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.

  • While we take reasonable security precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute protection against cyber threats, theft, or third-party breaches.

5. Sharing Information

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers (editors, subcontractors, payment processors, IT support).

  • Third-party platforms (e.g., Vimeo, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Google Drive, Dropbox) when delivering content or managing accounts.

  • Legal authorities when required by law.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Ownership & Client Responsibility

  • Clients retain ownership of personal likenesses and content captured, but MEE retains creative rights unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • MEE is not responsible for:

    • Unauthorized use of delivered content by third parties.

    • Issues arising from client-provided social media credentials (loss, hacking, misuse).

    • Claims related to copyrighted music, images, or materials provided by the client.

7. Retention of Files

  • Raw footage/photos – kept for up to 12 months after project completion unless extended storage is requested in writing.

  • Final edited files – delivered to the client and may be archived for portfolio or marketing purposes, unless client requests otherwise in writing.

8. Client Rights

Clients may request:

  • Access to personal information we hold.

  • Corrections to inaccurate data.

  • Deletion of stored personal information or content (where legally and contractually possible).

  • Written confirmation that their content will not be used for MEE’s portfolio or marketing.

9. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16 without parental consent. Any such data will be deleted upon request.

10. Limitation of Liability

While we follow industry-standard practices for data protection, MEE Video Production cannot be held liable for:

  • Data loss due to events beyond our control (e.g., technical failure, theft, natural disasters).

  • Unauthorized use or distribution of content after delivery.

  • Third-party platform issues (social media outages, breaches, account suspensions).

11. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and/or communicated directly to clients when necessary.
